We grew being taught that girls have the right to cry, whereas boys don't.
Thus when the time comes we also teach our children that boys don't need such a spoiling act as much as girls would and in the same time girls aren't to be allowed to use words reserved only for boys, because we are in fact two separate camps. We live in a world of prejudice concerning men and women and set everything under the spell of some generalities that do more harm than good. Ready to swear that men don't suffer as much as women do in love issues, and that betrayal is an act invented by the ones wearing pants and only later women have embraced it to become emancipated, but in fact they are born in and for fidelity. We are convinced in a gregarious way that women gossip more than men and that they are more devoted friends than women will ever be among themselves. We believe that gents have a higher need of money and power than ladies do, that sit easier in the company of a bigger or small love. We declare in an outspoken fashion that men are the greatest chefs and women know nothing on philosophy. We comfortably lay back under the domination of some preconceived ideas, that diminish the chances of a better understanding of how things stand in our love, in our relationships. Because truths are never in black and white. There are variations, several nuances and sweet grey in the world we live in. Great women chefs exist and men that cry, sometimes. We also are different starting from the point that no person is identical to the other no matter if they are the same gender or not. Happiness comes from beyond the ascertained fact that we are unique and no beforehand established plan can ever work in love. Beyond the paradox of when talking about love, no men exist, but just one man exists, the one making us feel safe, and no more women exist on earth, but one only woman capable of making us feel whole. To multiply ourselves. To force us to be happy. Patiently written down for my little D on a special day.
