The plot reveals the stories of three women who are depicted in three distinct decades; the intrigue presents one day of their lives in front of the mirror of consciousness. The leading figures are Virginia Woolf, Laura Brown and Clarissa Vaughan, each one being influenced by the fictional character Mrs. Dalloway, created by Virginia Woolf. The dramatic events come as a result of the inner process of analyzing their own existences, a deconstruction referring to Virginia Woolf and Laura Brown. The concept of otherness seen as an alienation, as a social withdrawal is displayed in the sequences making mention of the decisions of Virginia Woolf and Laura Brown. The constitutive other that marks the liaison between the body and the psyche is symbolized by Clarissa Vaughan whose personality is in congruity with the spiritual equilibrium and the social integration. The relationship between the leading figures and the supporting characters is also an adequate approach of the essence of the two concepts.
