Love is a word thrown about too often by those who've never felt it.
But how does one who hasn't felt love know that they haven't? Maybe what one thinks is love, is actually ones physical attraction for another. Is it so wrong for one to call this love, when one doesn't know better? Likewise, is it wrong for a child to take a candybar without paying if he/she was raised in the belief that this action is right? No one is technically a criminal, so why should one who has never felt love be convicted in the peers' minds? What wrong has one done if he/she thinks he/she is in love, not knowing he/she is not? I throw it around far too often. In my lyrics My poems My thoughts. Is it real? Does it exist for me? Is it something I haven't felt? Or have I felt it and moved on? The love that I know has no place in my paradise. "Love is heaven." Love is foul! Love is a leeach on the underbelly of a fish. Writhing and thrashing in a wild attempt to devour innocent souls. Love is a parasite, destined to bring only pain. Only suffering. Only sadness. Mr. Cash was right. Love IS a burning flame. And it will consume me.
