If we are looking for a utopian ideal for all, it is bound to fail as duality persists requiring constant confrontation to exist. To envision peaceful complementarity, one must first realize intimate singularity based in Self, and not be distracted by the hum and babble pervading every aspect of our lives.
The possibility of thwarting opposing forces is found by removal from the mix, to not gauge one's next move by what happens outside in the world jinxed with primal chaos. Transition from serf to Self is accomplished in utter solitude, no support, counsel, or trick. Only then is the demon-god reconciled. As Reconciled, the instinct to resist an opposite is overcome. The Reconciled resist nothing, as there is nothing to resist. Still Presence abounds. Still Presence subsumes the program of fight or flight. Action is a force of nature, terrestrial, cosmic and spiritual. This is liberation, a breath with which I need not take another, as I in flesh am no longer bound. It is as if there truly is nothing new under the sun, that we are either bound to mimic the sins of our fathers, follow the archetypal deluge to blind-ignorant, supercilious destruction, or to evolve into the Ground of Being whereupon I, in glorious subjectivity, is amorphous (ultimately soft) beyond and before archetype, samsara, and the duality on which they thrive. In this sense, the hero of consciousness is really a non-hero, a holy vagabond with nothing to prove, no dragon to slay, no damsel to rescue, or cross to bear. Such an I is virtually invisible, excepting to those who see more with their eyes closed than open.
