She steps softly on the crisp shore,
The maiden thinks of him nevermore, Or so she tells herself even now, For to forget him, is her eternal vow. But she cannot let half her soul go, Even on that lovely morning on the shore, Waves are crashing, and thundering high, She must end it...for despair is nigh. She tells herself to leave his memory, To forget her mate and their love story, He broke her heart, and tore it to bits, For he took another, to his ivory sheets. He betrayed, and desecrated her love, He shed, their relationship, like a glove, Betray her trust, and make her a fool, Change her from human into a ghoul. She feels empty, hurting and dark, What he did, left it's bleeding mark, So what can she do, she has no choice, End it all, cleanly, whispers a voice. Take the pain, and stop the hurt, Without his love, she feels without worth, So she steps on the end of the cliff Between her heart, and her soul, there's a rift. So she steps off the end of the rock, To make the pain, and anguish forever stop. Her dive seems slow, and life passes by And she hits the water, hoping she will die. But she doesn't die in the cold milky waves, Seems, that fate wants her to be saved, She comes up for air, and takes a breath, Smilingly she lets go, of the wish of death.
