Who are you,
That you come at night to steal my slumber? Like in fairy tales you fill me with shudders, carrying a dream; Leaving at dawn you leave an abyss, You unsettle me constantly. And when you are gone in special moments, I look for you shivering and I am afraid That you have died and I don’t realize, That you are a hidden dream in weary thought. Only in poetry, in loneliness, One can embrace The lightest ray of the cleanest heart And the raw, unforgiving, vivid longing.
