when I was in seventh grade in Geography and the teacher told us about the only country as a subcontinent and I didn't understand too much but it seemed great to me to have such a country
when we were in History and the teacher had drawn a geometric shape with chalk on the board then somehow she cut it in half and told us it looked almost like that tearing by that time I didn't understand too much about history either I didn't understand too much about anything when I first looked at their written words and they seemed to me to be the wing of all words told into the skin of life when I first heard people speaking Hindi and it seemed to me I could understand those people, maybe just because I was looking at them in a vintage picture when I first listened to the anthem and it seemed like the most wonderful song and my brother laughed at me like I had never heard it before in the Olympics when Babu told me how they crossed the whole country from West to East by train for days and I wished I was there to make that journey when I found out they have a huge mango garden then I went to the supermarket, I gave $ 1 for a mango then I found out that a child from their village would have eaten with that money for a whole day when I found out the dogs walked there on the street as they were here two decades ago and I would have liked to be there to give them water to caress their heads, then that skinny small red puppy left behind without anyone else, unable to cross an entire country with a kutta after you when I found out there was no dispensary in their village and the nearest hospital was about here to Suceava and they didn't have any doctor to call to save their father then my heart broke and everything started from here when I found out there is a happiness curriculum when I first loved India when it has become all about you
