Though one the moon up in the sky –
Where is the one I once did see On life’s illusions losing me – These days she tells another lie. As time ago, gentle their cry Pipes in the starry night set free, There’s one moon smiling in the sky – Say where’s the one I once did see? Still beaming light hers silvery In roses white I feel so high And hear her old string distant sigh, Can’t say she is the same to me Though one the moon up in the sky. (adapted translation Axel H. Lenn - after “Rondelul Lunei” by al. Macedonski)
