| Bharat -There where the Beauty lies- There where the Beauty lies On red walls fortresses Nibbled by winds and crows Peacocks with tails unfurled Shout its unevenness in fans of insane colors. There where the Beauty lies Under her soles the Mother kneads The dark forehead of Shiva Until the pain Drowns in its only tears And silently surrenders. There where the Beauty lies Divine smiles are born by mortals Out of the soul’s ambrosia And given for adoption To foreigners No signature required. There where the Beauty lies People are not afraid Of rain Of pain Of dust Or us. There where the Beauty lies… The Freedom lies beneath.
