Even though the moon's the same
Shining down on tips of trees, Its rays of weak glow Light a chaotic quietness, Which echoes deep in my soul Off the walls of the emptyness that you left; None of that gentle touch of words Or your emerald eyes lost into mine Or times when we simply enjoyed life. I woke up in this strange new world Where the sun doesn't bring life anymore; Days, years pass by like leaves carried by winds And so does life - as if the night Would never come here If I am so far away - but it's not true It comes and goes, it fades away. Every night I go to sleep Hoping for that gruelling wistfulness to die - but as soon as I'm asleep A gush of pictures and seemingly ancient memories Flood my mind. Seeing Mother Nature's wrinkles pass by I realised : No matter how big The burden may be, It's not an abyss in the path of life. Like the Phoenix rose from the ashes So will I, I'll get that strenght And I'll forget.
