Have you ever listened to the growth of the grass
And felt exiled on this nobody-has-ever-heard-of island Inside us? Deep down the mountains I once heard the obsessive tic-tac of time Dispersed in the tumult of rocks. Limbs of fire burnt my feet and legs Smothering my veins to implosion, And I started to melt and drag into the earth, Feeling each and every pebble Squeezed between my once-called teeth. I tried to repeat to myself in obstinacy That I could flow with the waters Once again into the sky And fall down with the rain Feeding the grass growing giggling Towards the decrepitude of the Once infinite universe above. But I got no response As I forgot my echo In the valley of tears.
