Meaning of life

Have you ever sat
where the Sunday air gathered you
upon its simple dreams and dismays
when leaves upon the trees
would break away and for a second
would find its freedom upon the breeze
dancing the unlimited span of the duration
Till falling the song was over.

Or on a blistering hot summer day
see the reflective ray
cast upon the waters edge, blinding
and there find yourself drawn to the heavy haze
where sleep bids your constant gaze
and in the moment between sleep and being awake
You found yourself at peace.

Is there ever a time
when you sit in the silence of dark room
wanting your mind to drift far away
finding you really have never known
the space of a moment, the depth of a second
you realize your thoughts were always captive
never as free as the day should be
To explore the true meaning of life.
