The bell board is heard. Christians go to the churches. The religious service begins The angels gently descend from the sky, Spread their wings above our heads, Get ready their voices. Priests raise prayers... Songs of worship are heard, The whole world thrills around... Candles are lit, Are bright the hearts and our thoughts. The Requiem is sung... Sad angels sing along with us! The Church is too full. Parishioners swarm around. The bell rings. Wind-chased clouds cross the sky. Birds frightfully start in their dream. Their wings flap passing by Like the wings of these holy moments... Among the sonorous waves of the bell And the flap of wings - The flickering of our lit candles, Joined in a great light... We surround the Church following the priests, They carry of the Holy Epitaph. We stop four times And provide our souls with their prayer. The angels are among us, clad in their light. We pass under the Epitaph… The mourning of this evening Is the meeting with Jesus Christ, Appreciation and love, our pious thought, For The One came to enlighten us, To unveil life's meaning...
