Grandmother's Advice
by mazHur Today is my grandmother's anniversary And I relish the reminiscences of her kind love. How she would tell me to clean hands before meals; Do my homework regularly;. Brush my teeth before going to bed; That I shouldn't pull my younger sister's hair; Not to fight with her over her dolls; Keep my dirty shoes off the carpet; Oh, Grandma, how sweet you were! When I grew up and was completing my graduation, You said, boy, if you wanna marry, marry a lassie with small hands; Surprisingly I looked at her and asked, Grandma, what's so special about it? 'Well', said she, ''You were born underweight, hardly 5 pounds and this has left you weaker and smaller'', So, when you marry, marry a lassie with small hands, That's my advice to you, my sonny, You arn't grown as large enough As women with large hands normally grow; So, If you marry, marry a lassie with small hands so that the small thing may look large !
