And even now, as I imagine you in front of me My wish goes far beyond the body And it's your soul that I would like to see. And as the spirit is eternal and immemorial as the love you see, My heart can only tell a story as it now waits in misery. It's a great thought that my heart's sharing And more then that, it is a will, It is a will so strong indeed; it is a will that goes beyond the distance And reaches you wherever you may be. There are no words for what I'm saying But how could I now find expression If not in thoughts, in gestures or in a kiss, Cause I'm perceiving also the desire As it is coming day by day. Your simple presence somewhere further It makes the wait so sweet, For happy is the one who stands And waits the kiss in misery.
