Prof. Ernesto Kahan. Israeli - Argentine. Born in 1940, and educated in Argentina (University of Buenos Aires) and in USA (University of Washington). Medical doctor, university professor and poet.
University professor: Argentina, Israel, Peru, Dominican Rep., Mexico, and Spain.
In Argentina was Director General, Ministry of Health, before migrating to Israel (1976) during the military regime. In Israel, Deputy Director Rabin Medical Center and, Head of Epidemiology at Tel Aviv University. In 1998 was World Bank head of evaluation of primary health programs. Ecuador.
Vice President of World Academy of Arts and Culture. President of AIELC - Israel Association of Writers - Spanish. Author 8 books and more than 200 articles in international Magazines. Poems of his book "Paxaporte" were translated into 11 languages. His book "GENOCIDE" written with Taki Yuriko (three languages), generated the prize "Golden Key of Literature" Hanchon Culture, and was acclaimed in many festivals. Editor of many anthologies. Selected for 20 editions of "Nueva Poesía hispanoamericana" Lord Byron ed., were most noticeable poets of contemporary poetry in Spanish are included. Anthology "POESIA IBEROAMERICANA SIGLO XXI"; 4 editions of "Stand@rt World Anthology"; "Contemporary Poetry" in Chinese and English, Hangchon Literature Complete Collection Vol. III and XII, and many other publications.
Founder of "Physicians for Peace" in Israel, Uruguay, Chile and Bolivia; Vice-President International Physicians for Prevention of Nuclear War- IPPNW, (1985 Nobel Peace Laureate organization), President of Literary "BRASEGO". Vice-President of International Forum Literature and Culture of Peace (IFLAC). Editor of Peace Literature in "Palabrasdiversas". Vice-President in three World Congresses of Poets, USA 2005, Mongolia 2006 and, Mexico 2008. Associated President UHE- UNION HISPANOAMERICAN WRITERS.
