Literary Translation - Translations of classic and original poetry and other materialsThis text is a follow-up  |

The city was then covered with snow
the streets were white and soft
in that night beyond heavy and red curtains
was dancing a woman from distant and eastern countries.

It was a live performance evening
and thousands of people were looking into the limelights
that woman from distant and eastern countries
By myself I was keeping my sight elsewhere
I was looking at you, Joanna Mary.

That year went through there
all the great people of the world
under the eyes of the ecstatic crowd,
By myself I was keeping my sight elsewhere
I have always looked at you, Joanna Mary.
