    I walked and walked,
    And covered a long way.
    The beautiful scenery around,
I could not enjoy but play,
For a butterfly, about my eyes,
    Was flapping his wings,
And leading me to an unknown bay.
He was so charming to me that I forgot
Who I am and where I stay,
And he was so near and so far that
Though I reached out my hands ,
    Yet found nowhere to lay.
A hide and seek game was then being played,
The faster I ran the faster he flew away,
    I stopped to rest,
    And ahead he would await.
A spirit, a spirit, to myself
    I would rather say,:
    “I am tired now butterfly,
come to me and I won’t hurt you anyway.â€
He seemed to understand and flew to me,
    In a very graceful way.â€

Oh, I got him, I got him,
Indeed I got only a withered leaf.
Not to be the leaf, my butterfly,
You almost make a little girl cry,
    An old ruddy –faced man
with gray hair appeared and said,:
How nice a little girl you are,
    Why going so far?
A girl but no longer little,
    Thirty years I already travel,
So far to look for my butterfly,
Thirty years are so short in my eye,
You are a little girl and that is why.
I am two thousand and still alive.
    Oh, great grandpa?
Please let me know what you are,
    In a butterfly ‘s dream
    I am Zhuangzhou,
    In Zhuangzhou ‘s
    I am a butterfly.
So a butterfly is a leaf,
    And a leaf , a butterfly.
Then he part and leave me think hard,
    Who am I ?
    In someone’s dream,
    I am Ellen
    While in Ellen’s
    Who am I ?
    Who then am I ?
    Still a little wild flower,
    Dancing in a breeze,
    Singing with mounts and river,
    Who am I ?
I am Ellen in my dream,
I said to a bee passing by.
