Another midnight hour
Ikmar Another midnight hour, so late I can’t tell who is playing tricks on me They call it destiny, or fate But I believe I can be free If destiny brought you here, Who has taken you away? Will tomorrow take my fear That took birth in me, today? Tonight I watch the stars above They all shine the same to me I once thought their light meant love But they might be dead stars, that we see. Would you come back if you knew That I’d changed to better, now? Could you ever trust me, And believe in me, somehow? You are not mine. I will cry. If my tears won’t bring you back, I will cry some more, and die Just until I fill this lack. I don’t believe in nightly dreams Cause they make me live for them and that Is not good to me.
