- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 2003-11-13 | | It is so late that I can narrowly follow The rain drops crying on the window; It’s rainin’ again upon my thoughts And private moments of despair… I’m waking slowly, lookin’ for a friend, Merely to find a stately sky in shades all dead And the open door of my chamber Waitin’ for you to return… So many years we’ve left behind, So many years I couldn’t find Living on my own, being left alone!… ‘tis cold within without you near; Just layin’ dead or feelin’ lazy ‘cause I’m secluded; but I don’t fear The rain, just fear I’ve long gone crazy… I scent my inner silence glide away, Just think of you and I’m alive again; For then I let you go, and trade such skin For silence, yeah, and shrivin’ to the rain… So many nights we died together, So many whispers died forever And you were laughing at the rain!… I feel the twitchy breath of life inside, Wrestling and slashing like a knife… Beyond my loneliness and fears, Beyond my memories and tears, I scent this healing in my mood: The rain returns upon my solitude… It’s rainin’ again upon my thoughts And private moments of despair; Then, I relapse into silence, My sacred silence that never ends!…
