Biografie mia isabela deleanu
Mia Isabela Deleanu writes about the events that surround the human universe and transcribes them into humorous fiction. She is the author of three books: Caleidoscop (poetry, short fiction, and drama published in 2006), Intinerariu cu ingeri (“Wandering with angels”, short stories published in 2003), and Negustorul de vise (“The merchant of dreams”, short stories, published in 2002), all of them published under the name of Isabela Barzoaga. Using the same name, she published short stories and poetry in the following anthology: Ferestre spre lumina (“Windows into the light”, published in 2002), Rascrucea dintre ganduri (“Crossing between the thoughts”, published in 2002), and Strigatul din corn de luna (“The scream from the half-moon”, published in 2003).
Between 2001 – 2009, she was a member of the “Amurg Sentimental” literary writers’ guild from Bucharest. In 2000 she won the special prize of the literary magazine “Amurg Sentimental” for short prose, and also won the prize for short story as a participant in the literary contest “Vara visurilor mele”. As a student she was member of the Literary Association of Bulgarian Students involved in promoting Romanian literature among her colleagues. She moved to Edmonton in 2009 to conquer a piece of the Canadian dream.
In 2011 she joined the Writers Guild of Alberta, and also started to publish online on the Romanian literary website Agonia.net under the penname Isamia. Mia Isabela Deleanu is currently a student at Grant MacEwan University, and she is studying to become a library technician.
