How long the lies
I decipher
Deep rooted within the hearts
And causing troubles
To my beloved only one
Going to grown and establish
As generations die and generations born?

Weak and tired feet
inept of supporting my age
How long and how I am going to
Repenting my lies I said through
“Bengal Nights”?

Each word from
“Na hanyate” driving me
Towards the security of these
Dark corners of Chicago library

She will knock the door
The owner of beautiful eyes
And brown hands
The owner of my sleepless nights
And the core of my entire fame
Queen of my immature day dreams
And my screaming frustration

Oh closer her gentle foot steps
Spreading is her sandal perfume
I wish I am blind behind these reading glasses
I wish I can face her eyes
I wish I can melt into this breathing air
I wish I don’t exist till she leaves
Maitreyi…
