Books are condesed and materialized time.this is why, after milleniums of manhood,we are still enchanted by books.
The two things that are still a part of 9 from 10 men are:God and books. Why God,it is our sacred nature,it is understandable.but why books?what is going on with these sheets of paper that make us adore them, that change our lives and most importantly that keep us going on and on? Books give us power.the power of knowledge, the power of concentration, the power of thought and the most important the power of dream-they all are smithed in the symbol of a book. The holly book starts with: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This is the first statement about the world, about everything that surround us. The word is the most powerful element.if we take it ad-literam,we should say that us,the only beings that master the word, are the most important in this world. Being gifted with creativity,we were able to put together words, make up stories, recall our own memories and amass them into books. The assembling of words led to the appearance of writing systems,in the ancient civilizations and alphabetic writing in Egypt, around 1500 BC. all these endeavours helped in the process of transmiting very important information, which is our basis of knowledge. Since then, the man was absolutely amazed by the process of writing, which made him continue until today. What is this need of writing ?what does it represent, beside the physical process of scratching the paper or typing on the keyboard, nowadays? What is this need of reading?what does it represent, beside recognizing words which express others' ideas? What do we find in them?who are the people who write books and who are their readers?is one of them more virtuous?which one led to the perpetuation of books?the quixotic writer or the critic reader, always in need of material? These questions have little or no importance, even if their protagonists are the kings of our subject. Let us concentrate more on the books themselves, and try to explain from another vision what they are. In the beginning of my thesis,i said that books are condensed and materialised time.i state this because the only thing that man is not capable of subduing is time.all great conquerors, emperors, kings, presidents have triumphed among men,but time passed over them, without asking who they were.time is impersonal, cruel,it can not be seen, but it can be told. In his need of greatness, man had materialised time into written pages, but not any kind of written pages, but books. The structure of a book is pretty simple.it has two covers,a front and a back one,and betwen them a certain number of pages. this number of pages becomes the univers of time,in which the story can be told.the time has been captured in these pages and the covers chain him, without mercy.
